Like any application Installation, first you have download the magento installation package from the official Magento website.
Create MySQL database and assign a user with full access and remember the username and password details since you are going to use it later. You can create database using PhpMyadmin tool and follow the below steps:
- Go to this url http://localhost/phpmyadmin/
- You will get the below page.
- Now click Database and create a new database and enter the name of the database you want to use.
After successfully creating the database for Magento now go to http://127.0.0.1/magento, it will open the following page.
Check then I agree to the terms and conditions box and click continue
This page is to set up language, location and time zone. Select your region, language and time zone from the top down menu.
If you are installing Magento for development or review, then I would recommend you leave the option as it is.
This is the configuration step for Magento installation. In this section you will provide name, host and user details of the database, if you are new to Magento then no need to enter anything. Just click on the continue button.
Once you click continue, another page will open here you are going to enter the detail to create the default admin account for Magento. Enter the details and click continue.
Well done, you are successfully installed the magento application.
